Drovers Set Six New PR’s at Oklahoma Classic

NORMAN, Okla. – On Friday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma delivered numerous impressive performances at the Oklahoma Classic, hosted by the University of Oklahoma. The day was highlighted by six new personal records for Omario Johnson, Daylen Huff, Cloey Prachyl, Tanyaradswa Mutara, and Aarin Simon.

 

On the women's side, Kyli Reser led the way with the 15th place finish in the shot put, with a season's best toss of 10.5 meters. Alayna Nichols followed in 17th place with a throw of 10.02 meters, and Laura Barrios Bardi in 18th with a throw of 8.44 meters, which is her best of the season as well.

Tanyaradswa Mutara placed in 16th in the women's long jump with a leap of 4.18 meters. Kyli Reser also placed in 16th place in the women's weight throw (10.35 meters).

Chloe Timms finished in 23rd in the 200-meter race with a time of 31.07, trailed by Melany Bermudez in 24th with a time of 37.01.

Chloe Prachyl set a new personal record in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.86, good for 36th place. Chloe Timms followed in 37th with a time of 9.03, and Tanyaradswa Mutara set a new PR with a time of 9.07 in 38th place.

 

The men's team was highlighted by a second-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay, with a time of 3:32.85. The men's 4x400-meter team is comprised of Aarin Simon, Hunter DeWall, Andries Meyer, and Easton Doctorman.

Carter McCain earned a third-place finish in pole vault with a jump of 4.00 meters.

Omario Johnson and Aarin Simon each set new personal record in the 60-meter dash. Johnson crossed the line in 5th place with a time of 6.92 seconds, followed by Simon in 10th at 7.02 seconds.  

In addition to competing on the 4x400 team, Andries Meyer delivered top 10 finishes in the 600-yard, 800-meter, and one mile races. Meyer finished in 6th place in the 600-yard race with a time of 1:18.59, followed by seventh in the 800-meter race (2:03.10), and eighth in the mile race (4:43.60).

Crispin Mbii concluded in ninth in the long jump, with a leap of 6.42 meters.

In the men's 200-meter race, Easton Doctorman led the way in 10th with a time of 23.51, trailed by Mbii in 11th with a time of 23.55. Daylen Huff placed in 14 with a time of 23.74, followed by Hunter DeWall in 22nd with a time of (24.33).

Mason Potter delivered a throw of 12.01 meters in the shot put, good for 12th place. Chayce Papp placed in 13th with a throw of 10.74 meters.

Tyrike Cunningham concluded in 16th with a time of 56.72 in the 400-meter race.
