De Jong Claims All-American Honor to Wrap Up Incredible 2024 Campaign

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – On Monday, the NAIA announced their selections for women's soccer All-American's and the Drovers were represented by Ilse de Jong as a third-team honoree. The All-American honor is the 14thin program history for USAO.

 

De Jong made a massive impact in her sophomore season, claiming the Sooner Athletic Conference's Player of the Year award and Offensive Player of the Year honor. It is the fifth time in program history that a Drover has earned the award for the league's top player (Jade Ovendale – 2014, Emma Rice – 2019, 2021, 2022). Furthermore, it is the eighth time that a Drover has earned the award for the league's top offensive player (Jade Ovendale – 2014, Cristina Ramos – 2018, Emma Rice – 2019, 2020, 2021, Alicia Rey – 2022, 2023).

 

In 20 games during the 2024 season, de Jong has tallied 15 goals and nine assists, for a total of 39 points. She ranked second in the conference in goals, fourth in assists, and fifth in total points. 

In her 42-game career at USAO, she has recorded 19 goals, 12 assists, and 50 points.
