Drovers Win Swinging Eagle Invitational to Open the 24-25 Season
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Tuesday and Wednesday the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma women's golf team opened the 2024-25 season with an incredible performance by winning the Swinging Eagle Invitational in OKC. The Drovers began the season with the best round in program history on Monday, followed by the victory clinching performance on Tuesday. The team victory is the third such performance for the USAO women's golf team in the last calendar year, following a pair of wins in the 23-24 campaign.
The tournament was hosted at Earlywine Golf Course in Oklahoma City and the Drovers completed with a two-round score of 613 (304, 309). The course featured a 5700-yard, par 70 layout.
Hudson Woloss led the team with a runner-up finish as an individual, with a two-round total of 144 (71, 73). Emma Fields followed closely behind in third-place with a score of 151 (74, 77).
Alix Schueneman carded a 159 (80, 79), followed by Moriah Shropshire with a 162 (79, 83). Addesen Glass fired rounds of 89 and 80 to conclude with a 169.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will return to the course on September 9-10 as they compete at the Texas Intercollegiate. The always competitive tournament will be held at Hawk's Creek Golf Course in Westworth Village, Texas.
