Five Drovers Compete in Kansas at NAIA Mid-States Classic

WINFIELD, Kan. – Saturday morning, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma women's and men's cross-country teams competed at the NAIA Mid-States Classic, hosted by Southwestern College (Kan.). 

The men's team did not record a score as a team, but they did have three individuals competing in the 8-kilometer race, led by Tyrike Cunningham's time of 35:50.75 for a 69^th place finish. Quintin Pennells crossed the line in 73^rd with a time of 36:57.41, followed by Ryan Joseph in 80^th with a time of 41:37.29.

The women's team did not record a score as a team, but they did have two individuals competing in the 6-kilometer race. Trinity Albao-Cozad concluded in 50^th place with a time of 32:38.89, followed by Savannah Creech in 53^rd with a time of 33:13.63.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Drovers will return to the course on November 4 for the Sooner Athletic Conference Championship at Eldon Lyon Park in Bethany, Okla.
