Drovers Compete at the University of the Ozarks Invitational in Arkansas
OZARKS, Ark. – Saturday morning, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma women's and men's cross-country teams competed at the University of the Ozarks Invitational, hosted by University of the Ozarks.
The men's team concluded the 8-kilometer race with a sixth-place finish, led by Tyrike Cunningham and Aarin Simon. Cunningham finished in 50th with a time of 32:46.70, and he was immediately followed by Simon in 51st with a time of 32:47.40.
Quintin Pennells crossed the line in 36:46.60 and finished in 59th, followed by Ryan Joseph concluded in 63rdwith a time of 37:47.10.
The Keller brothers finished in 66th and 73rd. Colby Keller crossed the line in 39:05.90 and Brayden Keller finished in 44:46.80.
The women's team did not record a score as a team, but they did have three individuals competing in the 5-kilometer race. Trinity Albao-Cozad led the Drovers with a time of 24:25.90 and finished in 51st place, closely trailed by Savannah Creech in 53rd with a time of 25:06.00. Chelsea Fuston concluded in 68th with a time of 30:02.40.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will return to the course on October 21 as they compete at the NAIA Mid-States Classic: hosted by Southwestern College in Winfield, Kan.
