Drovers Set Eight New Personal Records at the Crimson and Cream Qualifier

NORMAN, Okla. – On Friday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma produced several terrific performances at the Crimson and Cream Qualifier, hosted by the University of Oklahoma.

 

On the women's side, Kyli Reser produced a fourth-place finish in shot put, with a toss of 10.81 meters, which a new season-best. Reser also set a new personal record in the weight three, heaving the weight 12.37 meters, good for 20th place.

Alayna Nichols placed seventh in shot put with a throw of 10.03 meters, trailed by Laura Barrios Bardi in eighth with a throw of 7.94 meters.

Tanyaradswa Mutara finished in 21st in long jump, with a leap of 4.30 meters. Mutara also placed in 44th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.85.

Melany Bermudez finished in 31st in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 35.85. Cloey Prachyl concluded in 45th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.87.

 

The men's team was highlighted by Omario Johnson's fourth place finish in the 60-meter dash, with a personal best time of 6.87.
Crispin Mbii earned seventh place finishes in the 60-meter dash (6.97 seconds), as well as the 200-meter dash (23.01). Mbii's performance in the 60-meter dash was a new personal record, and his run in the 200-meter race was his best of the season.

Andries Meyer also had a busy day, finishing in the top eight of the 800-meter race, the mile, and the 3000-meter race. Meyer finished the 800-meters in eighth, with a season-best time of 2:02.24, followed by a sixth-place finish in the mile (4:39.41), followed by a fifth-place result in the 3000-meter race (9.48.69).

The men's 4x400 meter relay team earned a seventh-place finish with a time of 3:34.98 (Aarin Simon, Tyrike Cunningham, Hunter DeWall, and Andries Meyer).

Carter McCain closed in eighth in pole vault, with a leap of 3.85 meters.

 Mason Potter delivered a throw of 11.17 meters to place 11th in shot put, followed by Chayce Papp in 13th with a heave of 10.27 meters.

Tyrike Cunningham set a new season-best in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.21. Hunter DeWall set a new PR in the 60-meter dash, as he crossed the finish line in 7.55. DeWall also set a new season-best in the 200-meter dash (24.09).

Daylen Huff set a new season-best time in the 200-meter dash (23.39).
