Pair of Second Half Goals Propel Drovers to First Win

CHICKASHA, Okla. – Saturday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (1-2-1, 0-0 SAC) claimed their first win of the season with a 2-0 shutout against Our Lady of the Lake University (1-2, 0-0 RRAC).

 

After a scoreless first half, the Drovers managed to capture the first lead of the game as Darko Borisavljevic found the back of the net for his second goal of the season, coming in the 59th minute. The Drovers added insurance as Cameron Crook scored hist first goal of the season on a free-kick from the corner of the box in the 77th minute. 

 

As a team, USAO attempted 24 shots, with 10 being on goal, while OLLU attempted only eight shots, four of which were on target. The Drovers were whistled for 12 fouls, while the Saints committed eight infractions. Yellow cards were frequently issued throughout the contest, with OLLU earning four and USAO with three. 

 

Angel Diaz got the start for USAO between the pipes and was perfect, stopping all four shots that came his way.

The Drovers will be back in action on Wednesday, September 4, as they travel to No. 1 ranked MidAmerica Nazarene University. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 PM CT in Olathe, Kan.
