Drovers and Braves Conclude in a Tie on Alumni Day

CHICKASHA, Okla. – Saturday night, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (2-1-2, 0-0 SAC) had a late lead slip away, but managed to hang on for a 1-1 draw against Ottawa University (0-1-1, 0-0 KCAC).

The Drovers wasted little time to take a lead against the Braves as Justin Croke scored off an assist from Stefan Savkovic in only the ninth minute of the contest. USAO's lead remained 1-0 until the 86th minute when Ottawa was able to strike for the equalizer. Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the final minutes, thus ending the match in a stalemate.

As a team, USAO attempted 13 shots, with six being on goal, while Ottawa attempted 10 shots, with six being on target. The Drovers committed 15 fouls and the Braves were whistled 16 times.

Angel Diaz made the start for USAO between the pipes and stopped five of the six shots that came his way.
