Brewer and Hardison Lead #17 USAO to Runner-Up Finish in Las Vegas
HENDERSON, Nev. – Monday and Tuesday, the No. 17 ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team continued to impress with a second-place finish at the RMC Intercollegiate at Lake Las Vegas, finishing just four strokes back of the eventual winner, University of British Columbia Okanagan. Jaxen Brewer and Cooper Hardison led the way for USAO as individuals, each placing in the top 10.
The RMC Intercollegiate at Lake Las Vegas was competed at Reflection Bay GC in Henderson, Nev., and featured a 6,862-yard, par 72 layout. The Drovers completed with a three-round score of 880 (289, 297, 291). The tournament strong field of opponents, including No. 9 British Columbia, No. 16 Rocky Mountain (Mont.), and No. 17 USAO.
Jaxen Brewer led the Drovers with a third-place finish as an individual after producing a three-round total of 215 (71, 73, 71). Brewer finished one shot under par and earned a spot on the all-tournament team.
Cooper Hardison also placed in the top 10, finishing in 10th with a score of 220 (68, 80, 72). Hardison's first round score of 68 was the best round of the entire tournament, which featured 46 competitors.
Luca Gisler closed in a tie for 17th with a 223 (78, 72, 73), followed by Conner Cryer in 19th as he carded a 224 (73, 75, 76). Jaeden Ellis concluded in 28th as he fired a 229 (77, 77, 75).
Following the tournament, the Drovers now have three players that are ranked in the Scoreboard player rankings. Jaxen Brewer ranks No. 26, trailed by Conner Cryer at No. 42, and Jaeden Ellis at No. 102.

Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City, Okla.
