Cryer and #23 USAO Deliver Runner-Up Performances at Winter Creek
BLANCHARD, Okla. – Monday and Tuesday, the No. 23 ranked University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team earned a runner-up finish at The Battle at Winter Creek. Additionally, Conner Cryer earned a runner-up finish as an individual.
The Battle at Winter Creek was competed at Winter Creek Golf and Social Club in Blanchard, Okla., and featured a 7,020-yard, par 72 layout. The Drovers completed with a three-round score of 868 (285, 287, 296). The tournament strong field of opponents, including No. 2 ranks Oklahoma City, No. 8 Texas Wesleyan, No. 23 USAO, and RV Southwestern Christian.
Conner Cryer was terrific in all three rounds, shooting under-par each trip around the course. Cryer concluded five-under par with a total of 211 (70, 70, 71). Jax Brewer also delivered a top 10 performance, carding a 216 (71, 72, 73).
Cooper Hardison finished in a tie for 15th with a 223 (71, 72, 80), trailed by Jaeden Ellis in a tie for 17th with a score of 225 (73, 73, 79). Luca Gisler closed in 21st with a 227 (76, 78, 73).
Carson Click concluded in 36th (235 – 78, 79, 78), followed by Gavin Elmore in a tie for 38th (238 – 76, 78, 84).
Parker Pogue placed in 38th with a 238 (82, 78, 78).
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will now head into their winter break, before resuming the season in the spring.
