Pogue Places in Top 10 at the Pioneer Prairie Classic
WICHITA, Kan. – On Monday and Tuesday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team earned a six-place finish at the Pioneer Prairie Classic, hosted by MidAmerica Nazarene University.
The tournament was competed at Terradyne Country Club in Wichita, Kan., and the Drovers completed with a three-round score of 915 (313, 294, 320). The course featured a 6,843-yard, par 71 layout. The tournament featured a solid field, with three teams ranked or receiving votes in the latest NAIA Men's Golf Coaches' Top 25 poll (#8 MidAmerica Nazarene, RV USAO, RV Kansas Wesleyan).
Parker Pogue led the Drovers and finished in ninth place with a three-round total of 222 (76, 72, 74). Conner Cryer concluded in 17th with a 226 (79, 73, 74), followed by Tucker McDonald with a 230 (76, 76, 78). Luke O'Dell closed in 33rd as he carded a 231 (76, 73, 82) and Tate Trotter finished in 36th with a 232 (80, 73, 79). Cooper Hardison placed in 41st with a 234 (82, 76, 76), trailed by Jaeden Ellis in 49th with a 239 (82, 73, 84). Luca Gisler carded a 242 (76, 80, 86) to close in 53rd place.

The Drovers will return to the course on October 14-15 as they host the annual Battle at Winter Creek at Winter Creek Golf and Social Club in Blanchard, Okla.
