Drovers Place Ninth at Midwest Spring National Invitational
MANHATTAN, Kan. – On Monday and Tuesday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team concluded with a ninth-place finish at the Midwest Spring National Invitational.
The tournament was hosted by Kansas Wesleyan University at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kan., and the Drovers completed with a three-round score of 908 (304, 305, 299). The course featured a 7278-yard, par 72 layout.
Jax Brewer concluded in a tie for 13th with a three-round total of 221. Brewer fired a great opening round of 71, followed by a 76 and 74 in the final 36 holes.
Conner Cryer and Caleb Smith finished in a tie for 37th with identical scores of 229. Cryer got off to a rough start with an 80 and 79 in the first two rounds but showed resilience with a stellar 70 in the final round. Smith opened with a 78, followed by a 76 and a 75.
Jaeden Ellis finished in 42nd as he carded a 231 (75, 76, 80), and Cooper Hardison closed in a tie for 52nd with a total of 238 (80, 77, 81).
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will return to the course on April 15-16 for the Texas Wesleyan Spring Invitational at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park, Texas.
