Smith and Cryer Shine at Texas Intercollegiate
WESTWORTH VILLAGE, Texas - Monday and Tuesday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team competed at the Texas Intercollegiate and earned a fourth-place team finish, out of a six-team field.
The tournament was competed at Hawk's Creek Golf Course in Westworth Village, TX, and the Drovers completed with a three-round score of 878 (293, 296, 289). The course featured a 6,800-yard, par 72 layout.
Two different Drovers recorded scores at par or under par for the tournament, led by Caleb Smith's three-round score of 215 (71, 75, 69), which placed him one shot under par, followed by Conner Cryer who finished even par with a score of 216 (70, 75, 71).
Cooper Hardison finished closely behind Smith and Cryer with a score of 217 (72, 72, 73). Jaxen Brewer and Tate Trotter each finished with scores of 225, followed by Jaeden Ellis at 226. Luca Gisler carded a 228, while Tucker McDonald and Luke O'Dell scored in the 230's at 230 and 232, respectively.
WHAT'S NEXT?
The Drovers will return to action on Monday, September 18 as they open play at the Crestview Fall Invitational. The tournament will be hosted at Crestview Country Club in Wichita, Kan.
