Drovers Finish Strong at U.C. Ferguson Classic
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Monday and Tuesday, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma men's golf team competed at the U.C. Ferguson Classic and earned a sixth-place team finish, out of a 12-team field. After a strong final round, the Drovers were only 10 shots back of third place.
The tournament was competed at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City, and the Drovers completed with a three-round score of 866 (291, 295, 280). The course featured a 6,600-yard, par 71 layout.
The Drovers were led by a quartet that finished with scores at 220 or under. Conner Cryer led the bunch with a final score of 215 (71, 76, 68), which included an impressive score of 68 in the final round. Luca Gisler finished only three stroked back of Cryer with a 218 (71, 75, 72), and four strokes ahead of Jax Brewer at 219 (76, 72, 71). Jaeden Ellis concluded with a score of 220 (78, 73, 69), after carding a 69 in the final round.
Caleb Smith concluded with a score of 225 (73, 75, 77), followed by Luke O'Dell and Tate Trotter who finished with scores of 226. Cooper Hardison began his USAO career with a total of 230, followed by Tucker McDonald with a score of 238.

The Drovers will return to action on Monday, September 11 as they open play at the Texas Intercollegiate at Hawk's Creek Golf Course in Westworth Village, Texas.
