Drovers Knock Down 20 Three-Pointers in Blowout Victory at OPSU

GOODWELL, Okla. – Saturday afternoon, the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (17-11, 14-8 SAC) closed out the regular season with an impressive 107-81 victory at Oklahoma Panhandle State University (2-26, 1-21 SAC). With the win, the Drovers improve to 9-1 against the Aggies in the all-time series, which dates back to January 2018. Additionally, USAO eclipsed the 100-points for the seventh time this season.

On Saturday, the Drovers used a hot start to put the Aggies away early. By halftime, USAO had built a 60-39 lead.

As a team, the Drovers shot 42-75 (.560) from the field, and 20-39 (.513) from three-point range. USAO tied the program-record for most three-pointers in a single game (20), a record which was established against Oklahoma Christian University in 2011.

In comparison, the Aggies shot 32-81 (.395) from the field, and 7-27 (.259) from deep.

OPSU held a 47-35 advantage in the rebounding battle, but the Drovers only committed three turnovers, while the Aggies fumbled the ball 12 times.

The Drovers were whistled for 13 fouls, and OPSU was called for eight infractions. The Drovers finished 3-5 (.600) from the line, and OPSU went 10-13 (.769).

Cele closed with 22 points on 9-12 shooting from the field, including 3-5 from deep. Additionally, Cele hauled in six rebounds.

Allen concluded with 20 points on 8-13 shooting from the field and 4-7 from beyond the arc.
