Morro, Garcia, and Key Earn First Team All-Conference Honors
OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – On Wednesday, the Sooner Athletic Conference announced their annual baseball awards, and the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma was represented by Corey Morro, Henry Garcia, and Duncan Key.
FIRST TEAM ALL-SAC: (3 PLAYERS)
COREY MORRO continued to thrive for USAO, producing a .324 batting average with 46 hits, including five doubles, a triple, seven home runs, 45 runs scored, and 36 runs batted in.
In his career at USAO, Morro appeared in 98 games and tallied a .343 batting average with 109 hits, 13 doubles, two triples, 10 homers, 91 runs scored, and 57 RBIs.
HENRY GARCIA made a massive impact in his first year as a Drover, producing a .357 batting average with 56 hits, including 10 doubles, three triples, 15 home runs, 48 runs scored, 52 runs batted in, and 19 stolen bases. Garcia ranked third in the conference in home runs (15) and fifth in runs batted in (52).
DUNCAN KEY led the Drovers with a .359 batting average, including 37 hits, five doubles, two homers, 11 runs scored, and 18 runs batted in.
GOLD GLOVE: (2 PLAYERS)
COREY MORRO was versatile on the infield, playing at first base, second base, and shortstop this season, and produced an incredible .981 fielding percentage on 160 total chances.
HENRY GARCIA was perfect in right field this year, converting on all 76 of his total chances.
